Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku couldn’t hide his excitement following Fenerbahce’s stellar performance against Bernard Tekpetey’s Ludogorets in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
The Black Stars central defender put up a splendid performance to help his side snatch an all important 3-1 victory against the Bulgarian club.
Djiku was however, booked in the 50th minute following an unsporting tackle on his opponent while Tekpetey who also started for Ludogorets was equally shown yellow card two minutes earlier before Djiku went into the referee’s book.
”Important win in a tough game. Great Team effort. Thank you for your support @Fenerbahce” Djiku wrote on Twitter.
Djiku, who joined the Turkish club earlier in the season, has been nothing short of outstanding, making nine appearances and scoring once in the Turkish Super Lig, endearing himself to Fenerbahce fans and cementing his place as a valuable defender to the team.
