Ghanaian defender Baba Abdul Rahman is now focusing on the return leg of the UEFA Champions League qualifier against Malmo. Since joining PAOK Thessaloniki from Chelsea last summer, Rahman has maintained his impressive form, scoring a late goal to secure a crucial 2-2 draw in Sweden.
PAOK Thessaloniki will host Malmo at Toumba Stadium next week, with a spot in the next round of qualifiers for the Champions League group stage at stake.
“See you in Toumba,” Rahman posted on X following the match.
Rahman has been instrumental for PAOK, contributing significantly to their league title win last season and leading in goal contributions among defenders in the Greek top flight.
In an exciting match on Tuesday, Pontus Jansson initially put Malmo ahead, but Taison equalized for PAOK before halftime. Sebastian Nanasi then restored Malmo’s lead, only for Rahman to score the equalizer with 15 minutes left.
