Black Stars defender Denis Frimpong Odoi, has been linked with a move to Belgian Pro League side OH Leuven from Cblu Brugge.
According to voetbalkrant, Odoi could make a switch to OH Leuven before the Summer transfer window shuts.
The 35-year old versatile defender is in his last year of contract with Club Brugge and have recently struggled to get more playing time.
There were some substitute appearances for the Ghanaian international as he has only played 133 minutes this season. Odoi recently told 90minutes that he didn’t know if he would play for Club in September.
“I don’t have the role I would like,” Odoi said. “However, I feel in training that I am still fit. I’m going to keep fighting.” He was then also linked with a transfer to OH Leuven, where he made his professional debut in 2006.
But Marc Brys also fell out of the sky over the transfer rumor. “That’s also the first time I’ve heard this, but he’s a fantastic footballer and he’s always welcome,” he told AVS. Whether Odoi will actually make a transfer is therefore questionable.
Meanwhile, Odoi could make Ghana coach Chris Hughton squad for next Month’s 2023 Afcon qualification final game against Central African Republic.
