Ghana’s Black Princesses have been placed in Group E for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, set to take place in Colombia.
The draw for this prestigious tournament was conducted on Wednesday, June 5.
Yussif Basigi’s team will face tough opposition from Japan, New Zealand, and Austria in the upcoming tournament.
With the expansion of participating teams from 16 to 24 nations, the 24 qualified teams were organized into six groups of four teams each for the final competition.
Representing Africa alongside Ghana are Nigeria, Cameroon, and Morocco.
Both Yussif Basigi and Hannah Ofosu Asare, Administrative Manager of the National Teams Department, attended the draw ceremony.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is scheduled to commence in Colombia from Saturday, August 31, to Sunday, September 22, 2024.
