The Ghana Football Association is commiserating with the family of former Ghana forward Raphael Dwamena after passing away today.
He suffered a heart attack in the 23th minute of the game against FK Partizani.
The 28 year old had previous heart condition years ago but he refused to hang up his boots as he wanted to continue doing what he loved the most, playing football.
He was without a doubt one of the best players in the Albanian Superliga and he was the league’s top scorer with 9 goals this season.
He scored nine goals in 10 outings this season in the Albania top-flight before his demise.
“Our thoughts are with the family of Raphael Dwamena at this difficult time.”
“Raphael represented Ghana wholeheartedly and paid his dues to the country until his unfortunate passing.”
“We will forever miss him for his dedication to the National Coarse”, the GFA wrote on social media.
