In the aftermath of the Black Stars’ underwhelming performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Ghana Football Association has made a decisive move by dissolving the entire technical team.
Head coach Chris Hughton, along with assistants George Boateng and Didi Dramani, goalkeeper coach Richard Kingston, and others, will be departing.
The team’s failure to secure a crucial win against Mozambique, resulting in a 2-2 draw, marked their exit from the tournament.
The Ghana Football Association, in an official statement, announced the immediate removal of Chris Hughton and the dissolution of the Black Stars’ technical team.
The Executive Council has also hinted at revealing a roadmap for the future direction of the national team in the coming days.
Chris Hughton, who took on the role in March 2023 after a year as Technical Advisor, concludes his tenure with a record of four wins, four draws, and four losses in 12 games.
