The President of the country’s football governing body, has taken to social media to congratulate Medeama SC after clinching their maiden Ghana Premier League title.
The Mauves and Yellow side, were formally crowned champions of Ghana and will represent the country in the upcoming CAF Champions League.
Medeama only needed a draw to clinch the championship, but they achieved an emphatic 3-0 victory over Tamale City, which also resulted in Tamale City’s relegation.
As the newly crowned champions, the Tarkwa-based club will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League, provided they fulfill the requirements set by CAF.
Medeama’s last foray into continental competition was in 2015 when they participated in the CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
