Ghanaian winger Bernard Tekpetey delivered a stunning performance for Ludogorets in their 2-0 triumph over Dinamo Minsk in the UEFA Champions League Qualification Round 2.
The match, which took place at the Huvepharma Arena on Wednesday evening, saw Tekpetey start and feature for 78 minutes. Ludogorets opened the scoring early when Tekpetey capitalized on a quick counterattack in the 9th minute. After receiving a precise pass from Polish midfielder Piotrowski, Tekpetey fired a powerful shot that left the Dinamo Minsk goalkeeper helpless.
Before halftime, Ludogorets extended their lead with a penalty. A clever one-two between Nedelev and Chochev resulted in Nedelev being fouled in the penalty area. Nedelev then confidently converted the penalty, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
This victory gives Ludogorets a significant edge as they prepare for the second leg in Hungary next week. Although Dinamo Minsk had their chances, including a missed opportunity by Alexey Gavrilovich early in the match, Ludogorets took a crucial step towards advancing to the next round of qualification.
