Accra Hearts of Oak right-back Samuel Inkoom, has lauded the standard of the Ghana Premier League.
He, however, believes more need to be done to get sponsorships for the country’s domestic league.
Inkoom, 32, joined the Phobians on a one-year deal as free agent and helped them to win the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup, a title his outfit won last season too.
‘’Ghana league is good. You can see we have a lot of talents in the league. The final is there for you to judge. We only need to do more by getting sponsorship on board to help the league to grow,’’ Inkoom told Angel TV.
Commenting further, Inkoom former FC Basel defender said: “I discussed it with my family and we all agreed that it is a nice idea to join the GPL and here I am playing for Hearts of Oak. I was welcomed by the fans and the playing body especially which made me feel at home.”
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak will play in the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup competitions respectively.
