Ghana legend Michael Essien applauds Black Stars for beating Angola

Ghana legend Michael Essien couldn’t hide his excitement after Ghana beat Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Thursday.

The former Chelsea star midfielder applauded the team for snatching an important win over the Palancas Negras of Angola in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

substitute, Antoine Semenyo of English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth, scored the only goal of the match to win all three points for the Black Stars team.

Ghana will travel to face Angola in Luanda in three days time for the fourth game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana are top of the log with seven points after two wins and a draw in three matches.
