Ghanaian legend Sulley Ali Muntari will have a feel of the Ghana Super Clash today as Accra Hearts of Oak SC host Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The former Inter Milan and AC Milan midfielder has never played in the Ghana Super Clash in his illustrious career but is in line to make history as he is set to feature in today’s game at 3pm.
Muntari joined the Rainbow Boys not long ago and has played in two matches for the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League Champions.
His first game came when they played Accra Great Olympics FC in the Ga-Mantse derby where he was a second half substitute as his team loss 1-0 to their City rivals.
Muntari played 78 minutes of football at the Aliu Mahama stadium in Tamale when Hearts drew goalless with the newly promoted team Real Tamale United FC and was given a standing ovation by the home fans.
After a commanding performance in the previous game in Tamale, the UEFA Champions League Winner is expected to be given a starting berth in today’s Super Clash in Accra.
The 37-year-old Ghana legend who played in three World Cups has been named in the 20-man squad by coach Samuel Boadu for the match today.
Though he is yet to score or provide assist in his first two outings, Muntari has overwhelmed the football fans with his sleek passes and football knowledge whenever on the ball.
Because of his inclusion in the Hearts team, a lot of people have given the struggling Phobians a little chance to upset the in-form Porcupine Warriors this afternoon.
