Mohammed Kudus was unplayable in Ajax’s first Champions League of the season after scoring and assisting in the win over Rangers on Wednesday.
For the first time since April, Kudus was given a starting berth in the Ajax team, replacing Brian Brobbey.
In the match on Wednesday at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, the Ghanaian settled in as a false 9.
After Edson Alvarez headed in the game’s first goal, the 22-year-old set up Steven Berghuis in the 32nd minute with a lovely display of talent to increase Ajax’s lead to two goals.

After outmuscling James Tavernier in a struggle on the sidelines, the attacking midfielder broke into the area and scored a minute later.
After unleashing his shot within the 18-yard box, Kudus then scored, giving Ajax a 3-0 advantage at the interval.
Additionally, it was Ghana’s first goal in the European competition.
Ajax won 4-0 on the night with Steven Bergwijn scoring in the last minutes of action.
