Swedish side GIF Sundsvall have announced the return of Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Halik Hudu, 23, to the club after his loan spell during the 2020 season with AFC Eskilstuna. Hudu is rejoining the club on a 3-year contract.
Born in March 2000, the youngster started his football journey at Accra Youth FC and started his professional career with Inter Allies.
In early 2018, he signed a contract with Hammarby IF for 3.5 years. After spending the 2019 season on loan at IK Frej, he represented GIF Sundsvall in 21 games during Superettan 2020. Most recently, Halik Hudu comes from playing with AFC Eskilstuna.
“Hudu is a ball-confident player who is good at solving pressure. He works hard in all stages of the game and has great experience from playing in Superettan. With Jonas Olsson, Ludvig Svanberg and Abdul Halik Hudu, we have a strong central line.” said Joel Cedergren.
