Ghana international midfielder, Abdul Samed Salis is delighted with RC Lens‘ victory over Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Saturday 8th April, 2023.

The Black Stars enforcer gave another solid performance as the Red and Golds recorded a 2-1 home win and keep their UEFA Champions League hopes alive.

The victory over Strasbourg puts Lens second on the table with eight matches remaining.

“Good job. We continue to affirm our ambitions,” he wrote on social media.

Polish international Przemyslaw Frankowski shot the host after just seven minutes following a brilliant attacking display in the opening minutes of the game.

Back from recess, Facunda Mediba doubled the lead with 25 minutes remaining.

Strasbourg pulled one back through veteran French defender Kevin Gameiro.

Meanwhile, his compatriot Alexander Djiku enjoyed the full duration of the match for the visitors, who are battling for survival in Ligue 1.

However, Lens are just six points behind leaders Paris Saint Germain.

Abdul Salis completed a transfer move to RC Lens in the summer transfer window from rivals Clermont Foot.
