Bismark Kobby Mensah, the coach of Great Olympics, remains optimistic about the club’s survival despite their poor run of form in the Ghana Premier League.
He took over from Yaw Preko and has only managed to win two out of his first seven games in charge, including a crucial victory over Hearts of Oak.
Despite their struggles, Kobby Mensah is confident that his team will overcome the relegation battle and finish the season in a better position.
He stated in an interview with 3Sports that if everyone plays their part well, they will succeed. He added that their first objective is to ensure that the team remains in the Premiership, which he believes they are on course to achieve.
“It has not been very bad and it has not been good. I think that I have a challenge in my hand and I believe that looking at the response from players, everybody is trying his best“
“If all of us can play our parts well, I think[we will succeed]. The first objective is to make sure that the team is still in the premiership which for me we are on course”
Great Olympics are currently in 15th place on the table, just above the relegation zone, with 31 points from eight wins in 25 games. Their recent win over Berekum Chelsea has given them a slight advantage.
Their next game is against Aduana Stars on April 15, and they hope to secure a much-needed victory to improve their chances of avoiding relegation.
