Ghanaian enforcer Elisha Owusu is glad to be back in the KAA Gent starting eleven.
Owusu has not played for the Buffalos in the last couple of weeks but he was back in the squad as they beat Mechelen by two goals to one in a crunch away game.
“I took this match as an opportunity to prove that I can still do something and that I am still a footballer. That went well. I knew I could still do it, but in football it can go fast. People are quick to think, ” Owusu told HLN
“Oh, Elisha isn’t playing, he won’t be able to bring what he brought in his first season, but I’ve never doubted myself. I also understand, the team performed well and then you sometimes have to wait longer for that chance.” He added.
Owusu has made 20 Pro League appearances for Gent so far this season.
