Ghana international Francis Abu delivered a stellar performance to help Cercle Brugge secure a crucial 1-1 draw against Sporting Charleroi in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League on Saturday.

The Black Stars midfielder played the full 90 minutes at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi, showcasing his influence by providing a key assist in the encounter.

The home side took the lead just 12 minutes into the game, with Parfait Guiagon scoring after an assist from Isaac Mbenza. However, Cercle Brugge responded in the 35th minute when Thibo Somers capitalized on an assist from Abu to level the score. Despite both teams pushing for a winner, the match ended in a stalemate.

Francis Abu, 23, has been in fine form this season, featuring in 23 league matches and contributing four assists. His consistency continues to make him a key player for Cercle Brugge in their top-flight campaign.
