Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah says Ghana needs to have the four Africa slots back after the Porcupine Warriors won the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League on Thursday.
The Warriors drew 1-1 in Obausi against AshantiGold SC during a Week 29 outstanding league game.
Kotoko will therefore represent the country in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League as Champions of Ghana and CEO Nana Yaw believes the club will do well in the continental competition with the right support.
“There is hope, lasts eason we did not lose a single game away in Africa.” Nana Yaw Amponsah told the media in Obuasi.
“We went to Mauritania and drew, we went to Algeria and drew Setif, we were eliminated by Covid-19 tactics in Sudan” he explained.
Nana Yaw Amponsah continued : ” It means that when we prepare well with the right support from the Board (of Kotoko), supporters and the government of the day, with the GFA as we, there is no way we won’t go and do well because Ghana needs the four slots back” he added.
