Obuasi Ashantigold SC suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to struggling XI Wonders FC from Techiman on Sunday afternoon at the Len Clay Stadium.
The Miners could not find an antidote to their opponents attack and had to let in four goals in their first outing of the second round of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season.
XI Wonders made their intentions clear in the first half and dominated the game in the opening stages of the match with brilliant passage of play.
Former Accra Hearts of Oak SC player Tetteh Nortey scored the first goal of the match to put the away team in the lead after 32 minutes.
Twelve minutes into the second half, Ali Mohammed grabbed the equalizer for the home team on the 58th Minute mark.
The visitors turned on the screws with Osman Zackaria finding the back of the net after 68 minutes ,before Andrews Kuma’s 79 minute strike made it 3-1.
Laar Ibrahim in the additional time period added the icing on the cake goal to make it 4-1 for the first at full time.
