Evans Adomako and George Amonoo scored in either half as Karela United made light work of Berekum Chelsea with a 3-1 win at their newly adopted Aliu Mahama stadium in Tamale.

Karela United who began the season with a 2-1 loss to Legon Cities at the El wak stadium hosted their opponents at the Aliu Mahama stadium following their switch from the CAM Park at Aiyinase.

Evans Adomako scored a brace before George Amomoo’s second half strike to pick all the spoils at home.

Adoamko scored the opener inside 19 minutes and added to the tally in the 53rd minute before George Amonoo made it three on 63 minutes.

Berekum Chelsea fought back strongly and pulled one back through Stephen Amankona who converted from the spot in the 78th minute.

At the Accra Sports stadium – Kashala Ramos Wanet scored in the 4th minute to give Accra Hearts of Oak a 1-0 win against Nsoatreman FC.

The win extends Hearts of Oak’s unbeaten run against the Nsoatre based club having recorded back to back victories over their opponents in the 2022/23 season.

Kashala Ramos got on the end of Salifu Ibrahim’s cross to whip home the only goal of the game inside 4 minutes.

The visitors lifted up their game in the second half but Hearts of Oak held on to win the encounter.

Newly promoted side Nations FC put up an outstanding performance at home to beat FC Samartex 1996 2-0 at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex. Nations FC faltered against Dreams FC and needed a win to get their campaign back on track.

Barima Baah gave them the lead in the 20th minute as he netted beautifully from the edge of the box before Amidou Diarra put the nail in the coffin inside 63 minutes to complete the job.

Seth Osei Kwadwo scored in the 66th minute to give Bechem United a 1-0 win over Dreams FC at the Fosu Gyeabuor Park.

Meanwhile former champions Aduana FC cruised to a 2-0 win against holders Medeama SC at Dormaa. Back to batten Bright Adjei announced his return with a brace following his unsuccessful stint in Ethiopia.

After a barren first half, the diminutive attacker opened the scoring in the in the 53rd minute before adding the second goal inside 80 minutes. The win sets Aduana FC on a good way having lost their opening game against FC Samartex 1996.

On Sunday, returnees Heart of Lions shared the spoils with Accra Great Olympics (0-0) at the WAFA Park at Sogakope.

Finally on Monday, Accra Lions defeated Legon Cities. Lions scored early in the first half through Evans Botchway to tame the Royals and pick a 1-0 win at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
