The Ghana Football Association, has announced the list of four players gunning for the Goalkeeper of the Month – March award.
Due to their outstanding performances for their individual teams this season, four goalkeepers from the Ghana Premier League have been nominated for the Ghana National Ex-Goalkeeper’s Association sponsored monthly award for the months of February and March.
The four goalies vying for the award are: Benjamin Asare of Accra Great Olympic, who has had a standout performance in the last two months. In six games, he was able to maintain three clean sheets, concede six goals, win three matches, draw one, and lose two.
Legon Cities FC‘s Kwame Aziz also kept three clean sheets in six matches played within the period. He helped his side win two games, draw one, and lose three matches.
Medeama SC‘s Felix Kyei kept three clean sheets, with his side winning two matches in February and March. Kyei won one NASCO Man of the Match award in the Matchweek 21 win over Bechem United at Akoon Park.
Abdul Ganiu Mohammed of Karela United was also shortlisted for keeping three clean sheets despite conceding seven goals and leading his club to victories in three of the six games played. He also won one Man of the Match award.
