Heart of Lions won 2-0 against Real Tamale United (RTU) in a tough match at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on March 10, 2023 in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The first half ended without any goals, making it look like the game might end in a tie.
But in the 89th minute, Ebenezer Abban scored for Heart of Lions, putting them in the lead.
Then, in extra time, Mahama Raf scored another goal, doubling their lead.
This late burst of goals secured the win for Lions, moving them up one spot in the league standings.
Now, they’re in 16th place with 21 points, which is impressive considering their previous struggles.
RTU, however, remains at the bottom of the league table even after this match.
Their off-field problems seem to be affecting their performance on the field.
