Heart of Lions suffered a disappointing home defeat after losing 1-0 to Medeama SC in their league clash.
The only goal of the match came in the 20th minute, when Kingsley Braye found the back of the net to give the visitors an early advantage. Medeama took control after the goal and managed the game well, limiting Heart of Lions’ chances.
Despite pushing for an equaliser, Heart of Lions could not break down Medeama’s defence. The visitors stayed organised and held on to secure all three points.
The victory sends Medeama SC to the top of the table, at least for now, with a game in hand, strengthening their push in the title race.
