Hearts of Oak will aim to record back-to-back victories when they travel to the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex to face Vision FC in a Week Seven fixture of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
The Phobians head into the encounter with renewed confidence after ending their winless run with a victory over Port City last weekend.
The result lifted Hearts of Oak to second place on the league table, three points behind leaders Medeama, giving them an opportunity to maintain pressure on the teams above them.
Head coach Nebojša Kapor described the victory over Port City as a mental breakthrough, explaining that his players had remained focused despite the criticism and pressure surrounding the team.
He will now be looking for another strong performance as Hearts attempt to build momentum and strengthen their position among the title contenders.
Hearts began the campaign with two victories but subsequently endured a difficult spell that included two draws and a defeat. Their struggles in attack also raised concerns about their ability to convert chances into goals.
Vision FC, meanwhile, enter the match under pressure after going five consecutive games without a victory since winning their opening fixture of the season.
The Tema-based side sit third from bottom and are desperate to collect points to move away from the relegation zone.
Their struggles continued last weekend when they suffered a 4-2 defeat to Bechem United despite showing some fighting spirit.
Coach Predrag Jaredić faces the challenge of finding solutions to his team’s defensive problems and improving their overall performance as Vision seek to revive their campaign.
Saturday’s encounter also carries significance because of the recent head-to-head record between the two clubs. Vision FC recorded a victory over Hearts in Tema last season, but the Phobians have enjoyed the better results across their last four meetings, recording two wins against Vision’s single victory.
Kapor has acknowledged Vision’s previous success against his side but noted that both teams have undergone several changes, including in their technical departments.
Hearts will therefore be keen to avoid complacency as they seek to extend their positive record against the hosts.
For Vision, securing a result against one of the league’s leading clubs could provide a much-needed boost and help restore confidence within the squad.
With Hearts aiming to consolidate their position near the top and Vision fighting to escape the lower end of the standings, Saturday’s fixture promises to be a crucial test for both sides.
