Hearts of Oak suffered their second successive home defeat, falling 1-0 to Aduana FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in a 2023/24 Ghana Premier League matchweek 30 clash.
In their previous home game, the Phobians also lost 1-0 to Accra Lions before bouncing back with a 3-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea.
The latest defeat leaves Hearts of Oak 12th on the league table with 38 points, just five points above the relegation zone and 17 points behind league leaders Samartex.
Kelvin Obeng scored the decisive goal in the 11th minute, silencing the home crowd and securing a crucial victory for Aduana FC. This win is Aduana’s first in four games, propelling them to third place with 46 points, nine points off the top spot.
Looking ahead, Aduana FC will host Nsoatreman at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in their next fixture, while Hearts of Oak travel to face Asante Kotoko next weekend in the highly anticipated Super Clash.
