Bibiani Goldstars won against Hearts of Oak, scoring a goal at the Accra Sports Stadium. The winning goal came from Mawuli Wayo. Coach Aboubakar Ouattara’s team wanted to make up for their previous loss, and despite playing with one less player, they managed to win.
Wayo took advantage of a mistake by the goalkeeper in the 79th minute. Sharif Shuaib tried to clear the ball but it bounced off an opponent, giving Wayo the chance to score easily.
This isn’t the first time Hearts of Oak have lost points due to goalkeeper mistakes this season. Despite having more possession and trying many times to score, they couldn’t find the net.
They had 21 attempts but couldn’t convert any. On the other hand, Goldstars took advantage of their opportunity and won the match, extending their unbeaten streak to five games.
Now, both Goldstars and Hearts of Oak have the same number of points, but Hearts of Oak is slightly ahead in 10th place, while Goldstars are in 11th.
