Accra Lions surged into the top four of the Premier League table with a commanding 1-0 triumph over Bofoakwa at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Sadat Seidu sealed the victory for the ‘Yen Nyina Dea’ with a clinical finish in the 39th minute, capitalizing on a superb cross from Bernard Kesse to give his team a crucial home win.
Despite Bofoakwa’s efforts, particularly in the first half, they struggled to find the cutting edge in the final third, thwarting their hopes of a resurgence in the top flight.
Before kickoff, Ibrahim Tanko’s side sat in fourth place, trailing Bechem United following their draw with Asante Kotoko. However, the win over Bofoakwa propelled them above the Hunters into fourth position, accumulating 36 points, though still seven points behind the league leaders.
On the other hand, John Eduafo’s Bofoakwa slipped to 16th place with 26 points after their defeat to Accra Lions, maintaining a four-point cushion above the relegation zone.
