Bechem United delivered a vital 2-0 win over Nations FC in a high-stakes top-four battle at the Nana Gyeabour Park on Sunday afternoon.
Isaiah Nyarko put the home side ahead in the 27th minute, giving Bechem the lead, before Emmanuel Abban wrapped up the win with a late goal in the 84th minute.
Bechem’s dominance was evident in their control of possession and the chances they created throughout the match.
The victory lifts Bechem United to fifth place in the league standings, just two points behind Nations FC, who remain in fourth.
Bechem will now turn their focus to a local derby against Aduana Stars in Dormaa, while Nations FC will return home to host Young Apostles after securing only one win in their recent back-to-back away fixtures.
