Bibiani Gold Stars were held to a goalless draw by a resilient Dreams FC side, who managed to deny the Miners a fifth consecutive home win at Dun’s Park on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Dreams FC, sitting at the bottom of the league, arrived determined to secure a positive result. Under the guidance of Coach Karim Zito, they successfully kept Gold Stars at bay during the first half despite being reduced to ten men after Richmond Tetteh received a red card at the half-hour mark.
The second half saw Gold Stars attempting to exploit their numerical advantage with sustained possession and relentless pressure. However, Dreams FC, even a man down, held firm against the waves of Gold Stars’ attacks, frustrating the home side and denying them the chance to widen their lead at the top of the standings.
Gold Stars remain unbeaten in the league, preserving their three-point lead with 19 points as rivals Asante Kotoko suffered a loss to Heart of Lions. Meanwhile, the single point lifted Dreams FC to 17th, though they could slip back to the bottom depending on Legon Cities’ result.
Looking ahead, Gold Stars will aim to retain their unbeaten streak as they visit league newcomers Young Apostles, while Dreams FC host Medeama in search of their first win of the season.
