Dreams FC’s search for their first win of the season continued as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Hearts of Oak on matchday seven of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Abdul Karim Zito’s side, winless in their previous six matches, struggled to break through a resolute Hearts defence, expertly led by Kelvin Osei Asibey. Despite pushing forward, Dreams lacked the cutting edge needed to claim a much-needed victory.
Hearts of Oak had the first real chance of the match when Hamzah Issah unleashed a powerful shot that narrowly missed the target. However, clear opportunities were limited in a cautious first half, which ended with neither team finding the back of the net.
In the second half, Hearts’ coach Aboubakar Outarra made tactical adjustments, introducing Amankwah Baafi for Yahaya Dramani to inject energy into the attack. About 15 minutes into the half, Kwabena Boateng found space in the box but failed to convert, missing a golden opportunity to put Hearts ahead.
Hearts pressed for a breakthrough, bringing on Asamoah Boateng and Salim Adams to replace Ahmed Ramzy and Kwabena Boateng. On the other side, Zito responded by bringing in Shaban Mohammed and Jonathan Nemorden to revitalize Dreams’ attack.
Despite the substitutions and tactical changes, both teams cancelled each other out in a tightly contested battle, and the match ended goalless.
The result leaves Dreams FC still winless after seven matches, while Hearts of Oak will see this as a missed opportunity to climb further up the table.
