FC Samartex were held to a 1-1 draw by Dreams FC at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday, January 26, 2025, as they failed to return to winning ways at home.
The defending champions initially took the lead through Alhassan Mankuyeli’s goal just three minutes into the second half. However, Dreams FC responded with Joseph Esso’s equalizer in the 70th minute, securing a point for the visitors.
The Timber have now gone five consecutive home matches without a win, leaving their title defense in jeopardy. They sit in 10th place with 23 points, 11 points behind league leaders Asante Kotoko.
Despite earning a point, Dreams FC find themselves back in the relegation zone and will next host Basake Holy Stars.
Samartex, meanwhile, will travel to face Bibiani Gold Stars in their next league encounter.
