A first-half strike from Kofi Asmah gave Medeama SC a narrow 1-0 victory against Karela United in a rescheduled Ghana Premier League match on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

The crucial goal came on the stroke of halftime at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa, as Asmah capitalized on an opportunity to put Evans Augustine Adotey’s side ahead. Despite efforts from Karela United, Medeama’s solid defensive performance ensured their slim lead remained intact until the final whistle.

With the win, Medeama SC remain in 7th place on the league table, now with 24 points from 14 matches in the season.

Karela United, however, continue to struggle, suffering their 7th defeat of the campaign. The Pride and Passion sit 12th on the table, managing only 14 points from 15 games.

Medeama’s victory marks a strong start to the New Year as they aim to climb higher in the Ghana Premier League standings.
