FC Samartex recorded their third victory of the season after beating FC Cup Champions Dreams FC 2-0.
Samartex’s victory on Sunday, October 15, 2023, was also the team’s third successive victory at home in the ongoing 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season.
Dreams FC went to Samaboi for the fixture against Samartex on the back of a goalless drawn game against Hearts of Oak looking for a win on match day 5.
Samartex on the other hand had been beaten 1-0 on match day 4 by Nsoatreman FC and also desperately needed to bounce back.
The Samaboi-based club didn’t create much in the game but they made good use of the few that came their way in the game.
21-year-old Musa Baba put the host Infront in the 11th minute before Seidu Dauda scored a screamer in the 90th minute to make it 2-0.
Samartex 1996 FC are now on top of the Ghana Premier League table with 9 points after match day 5.
