Medeama SC delivered a dominant performance at the TnA Stadium on Sunday, defeating Young Apostles 3–0 to solidify their position at the top of the Ghana Premier League table.
The Mauve and Yellow side took control early, with midfielder Fuzy Taylor opening the scoring in the 22nd minute after sustained pressure. Kamaradini Mamudu doubled the lead in the 34th minute, capping a commanding first-half display that left Young Apostles struggling to respond.
Despite efforts after the break, Young Apostles could not find a way past a disciplined Medeama defence. The victory was sealed in the 85th minute when substitute Prince Owusu scored, putting the result beyond doubt.
The win extends Medeama’s lead at the summit to four points, highlighting their credentials in the race for a second Ghana Premier League title. Young Apostles remain 14th on the table with 21 points, continuing their difficult run away from home.
Medeama will look to maintain this momentum as the league enters its crucial stages, while Young Apostles must regroup quickly to avoid slipping further in the standings.
