Lions have moved to the fourth position in the league table with 44 points, having scored 27 and conceded the fourth least goals (18). Bashir K. Hayford’s men are the fifth best home performers in the league and will aim to snatch all the spoils on Sunday.
Accra Lions stunned Asante Kotoko 3-0 with a vintage home performance at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday. The win has relieved the pressure off Coach Reiner Kraft and lifting Lions to the 15th position in the table with 29 points after 27 matches. Lions head into this fixture as the fifth weakest away performers in the league currently and will yearn for their second win away from home on Sunday when they trip to Kpando.
Heart of Lions have played Accra Lions once at home in the league since the Kpando lads gained promotion back into the Premier League last season with the game ending in a 2-0 victory for Heart of Lions.
