‘SLEEPING’ Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC will travel up north this weekend to take on Karela United FC in the week nine round of games in the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians always struggled against their Saturday’s opponents when they were based in Anyinase in the Western region before moving their home grounds to the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale this season.
Hearts of Oak SC have been very inconsistent this season and were without a win in their last four matches with one defeat and three draws before coming up against defending champions Medeama SC last Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
They moved from the drop zone for the first time in three match days and got only their second win of the campaign with a 3-1 emphatic and impressive victory over Medeama SC to make it nine points from seven matches with a game in hand.
The home team, Karela United FC finds themselves in the drop zone after eight games with eight points and haven’t won a single match since matchday two victory over Berekum Chelsea FC.
Since that 3-1 away win in the opening game at home this season, the Pride and Passion outfit have picked five draws and a defeat in the process as they prepare to take on the Rainbow Boys at home this Saturday afternoon.
The game will be aired on Ghana Football Association TV partners StarTimes on Saturday afternoon at exactly 3pm.
