Seidu Suraj and Kelvin Ahiable were on target as Dreams FC returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars in Week 17 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the Tuba Astro Turf.
Dreams FC responded strongly after their previous setback, showing determination and control to secure all three points and climb out of the relegation zone. The first half was tightly balanced, with both sides cancelling each other out and going into the break without a goal.
After the interval, Dreams FC stepped up their intensity and were rewarded in the 72nd minute when Suraj broke the deadlock, giving the home side a deserved lead. Holy Stars pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but that left spaces at the back.
Deep into added time, Ahiable struck to seal the win, confirming a third straight home victory for Dreams FC and sparking celebrations among the home supporters.
The result drops Basake Holy Stars to 14th place on the league table after failing to build on their previous win. Dreams FC will now turn their attention to an upcoming clash against Heart of Lions, while Holy Stars face another tough away test against Eleven Wonders.
The victory offers renewed hope for Dreams FC as they look to move further away from the danger zone in the weeks ahead.
