Dreams FC, a team competing in the CAF Confederation Cup, has defeated Asante Kotoko 2-0 in their home stadium in the Ghana Premier League.

The match, held on Sunday in Dawu, was a highly anticipated clash between the two teams. Dreams FC, also known as the Still Believe lads, played confidently on their home turf and secured a well-deserved victory over Kotoko, also known as the Porcupine Warriors.

This win marks the second time Dreams FC has defeated Kotoko in the 2023/24 season, having previously won a narrow match in Kumasi in November.

The Ghana FA Cup holders scored one goal in each half to secure maximum points against Kotoko. Sylvester Simba opened the scoring for Dreams FC in the 25th minute, and Derrick Agyei added a second goal in the 64th minute to seal the victory.

Dreams FC moves out of the relegation zone and is now in 14th place on the league standings with 31 points. Meanwhile, Kotoko has dropped to 12th place with 33 points after 26 matches.

The win is a significant boost for Dreams FC, who have been working hard to improve their performance in the league. The team’s coach, Karim Zito, will be pleased with the result, which marks a turning point in their season.

For Kotoko, the loss is a setback, but they will look to bounce back in their next match. The team has been struggling in recent weeks, and this defeat only adds to their challenges.

The match was an exciting encounter between two teams with a lot at stake. Dreams FC’s victory is a testament to their determination and hard work, while Kotoko will need to regroup and refocus for their next match.
