Talented attacker Alex Aso proved decisive for Bibiani Gold Stars as he scored the winning goal against Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Playing at home in Bibiani for their Week 27 clash of the 2023/24 Ghanaian top-flight league season, Aso showcased his skills on the field.
The match was filled with promising moments for both teams, but they struggled to capitalize on their chances.
However, late in the first half, Aso seized an opportunity and capitalized on it, finding the back of the net with a well-taken strike to give Gold Stars the lead.
Despite Aduana Stars dominating the second half, they failed to equalize, resulting in a narrow 1-0 victory for Gold Stars at the end of the 90 minutes.
With this win, Gold Stars climbed to 8th place on the Ghana Premier League table, while Aduana Stars maintained their position in 3rd place.
