Ghana Premier League Week 34 Preview: Dreams FC wrap up season with home clash against Aduana Stars

Dreams FC entertain Aduana FC at home on Sunday to wrap up the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Dreams have secured another top-flight status after thumping relegated Real Tamale United 8-1 in an outstanding fixture on Wednesday June 12, 2024.

The Believers, who have now amassed 46 points, are safe and secured as they host third-placed Aduana FC at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Sunday.

Dreams FC have won 2, drawn 1 and suffered 2 defeats in their last 5 league games. The Dawu lads are 15th on the table with 42 points after 32 matches.

They’ve managed to secure 31 points at home this season, scoring 25 and conceding 13 goals. Dreams FC won their last 2 consecutive home league games against Karela United and Legon Cities.

Aduana Stars sit 3rd place on the league table with 50 points after 33 matches, having won 2, drawn 2 and suffered 1 defeat in their last 5 outings.

The two-time champions have managed to accumulate 10 points away from home this season, scoring 11 and conceding 21 goals.

The Fire Club head into this fixture with a defeat in their last away league game against Bechem United.

Dreams FC have played Aduana Stars three times at home in the league since 2020/21 season with Dreams FC winning two and losing one.

In the 2020/21 season, Dreams FC beat Aduana Stars 4-2, won 3-1 in the 2021/22 season before recording a 0-1 defeat in the 2022/23 season.

Dreams FC top scorers Abdul Aziz Issah and Asamoah Boateng Mensah are likely to start the game on Sunday.

Other key players like Godfred Atuahene, Daniel Agyei, Ofori McCarthy, Eric Boateng, Emmanuel Dankwah, Sulemana Suhiyini, Benjamin Bature, Seth Agyemang, Joseph Esso, Dede Ishmael, Ebenezer Adade, Francis Odoom and Emmanuel Agyei could all be available.

Aduana FC  can count on Richard Mahama, Rich Sackey, Frank Owusu, Richard Afriyie, Fataho Nerie, Emmanuel Obuobi, Richard Tetteh, Yussif Chibsah Alhassan, Asamoah Fiifi Anderson, Sampson Cobbinah, Justus Torsutsey and Douglas Owusu Ansah.
