Ghana-eligible striker Malik Pimpong has made a promising start to life at Eintracht Frankfurt, making his official first-team debut before finding the back of the net for the club’s U21 side.
The 18-year-old forward made a late appearance during Frankfurt’s emphatic victory over St. Tönis in the DFB-Pokal, marking his first senior outing for the German Bundesliga side.
Pimpong followed up that milestone by scoring for Eintracht Frankfurt U21, further highlighting his potential after arriving from Danish champions FC Midtjylland this summer.
The talented striker joined Frankfurt on a six-year contract running until June 2031 after an outstanding spell with Midtjylland’s U19 team, where he recorded 30 goals and one assist in 46 appearances over the last two seasons.
During the 2025/26 campaign, Pimpong netted 20 goals in 26 matches, finishing as the top scorer in the Danish U19 Drenge Ligaen. He also featured in the UEFA Youth League and earned places in Midtjylland’s Europa League squad.
Born to a Ghanaian father, Pimpong remains eligible to represent the Black Stars despite playing for Denmark at U17, U18 and U19 levels. He has made 24 appearances for Denmark’s youth teams, scoring 12 goals.
Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung has called for patience as the club carefully manages the youngster’s development, with Pimpong now aiming to establish himself in German football.
