The elite list of Africa’s top ten futsal nations includes Ghana, Algeria, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Libya, Guinea, Mauritania, Mozambique, and Zambia.
Ghana’s strong ranking comes with a major competitive advantage, as it earns the Black Stars Futsal team a direct bye from the preliminary round of the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
As a result, Ghana will advance straight to the final qualifying stage, just one step away from securing a place at the continental finals.
Attention now turns to the final qualifying draw, scheduled for Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in Morocco, where Ghana will learn its last hurdle on the road to the AFCON finals.
