Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil and his Genk teammate Mike Tresor Ndayishimiye are the two players in contention for the 2022/23 Ebony shoe award.
The pair have been in fantastic form with Paintsil netting 15 goals and providing 14 assists in the league while Ndayishimiye who is Burundian and Rwandan parentage has scored 8 and set up 23 others.
The Ebony shoe is a special award instituted in 1992 to honor players of African origin who are playing in Belgium.
The only Ghanaian to win the award was Eric Addo who won it in 1998 when he was with Club Brugge.
