Ghanaian international Inaki Williams delivered a strong performance on Thursday night as Athletic Club defeated Slavia Prague 1-0 in their Europa League clash.
The Black Stars forward started in the attack for Athletic Club, securing his spot in the matchday lineup. Playing on the flanks, Inaki Williams proved a constant threat to the Slavia Prague defense, contributing significantly to Athletic Club’s offensive play.
The game’s only goal came in the 33rd minute when Nico Williams, Inaki’s younger brother, found the net following a setup by Alex Berenguer. While Nico was substituted in the second half, Inaki played the entire match at San Mames.
Inaki Williams has so far scored one goal in three Europa League appearances this season. Athletic Club will look to his continued strong performances to boost their chances of advancing to the knockout stage of the competition.
