Eddie Nketiah, the Ghanaian-descendant forward for England, scored Premier League side Arsenal FC in Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League clash against PSV.
In the UEFA Champions League‘s Group B Round 6 encounter, Arsenal, already securing the top spot, allowed manager Mikel Arteta to make strategic changes to the starting lineup.
Arteta entrusted Nketiah with leading the Gunners’ attack, supported by Kai Havertz and Reiss Nelson. In the 42nd minute, just before halftime, Nketiah found the net, granting Arsenal a well-deserved lead.
Despite this, PSV displayed resilience in the second half, equalizing five minutes after the restart with a goal from Yorbe Vertessen.
The match concluded with both teams settling for a point each, maintaining the balance. Notably, Arsenal faced the challenge without Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, who was sidelined due to injury.
