Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey shared his thoughts in an interview with the media following Brighton & Hove Albion’s Premier League victory over UEFA Champions League chasers Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The SeaGulls recorded another impressive victory in the league after their win at Emirates Stadium over Arsenal by beating 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 this past weekend, thanks to a late goal by Leandro Trossard.
The Ghanaian youngster, Lamptey, played a key role in Brighton’s victory, which moves them to the top half of the table.
He said: “Tottenham are a top team. They have world class players all over the pitch.
“We just had to make sure we played as a collective and together. That was the game plan and we got a good result.
“It’s fantastic results from both games for us. We worked hard.
“We tried to implement what the gaffer said to us and work as hard as possible each day in training. I’m happy that it comes out on the pitch and we’re getting the results we deserve.
