Ghana Premier League Champions Accra Hearts of Oak Accra, have issued statement on the state of goalkeeper the club’s goalkeeper Richard Atta’s injury on Sunday against Aduana Stars.
The Black Stars goalie suffered an injury during the Phobians matchday20 1-0 defeat against Aduana Stars at Dormaa.
The 26-year old was stretched off the pitch at the Agyemang Badu Park in the 32nd minute of play, after he went down after kicking the ball for a pass to left back Denis Korsah, and was fear to have suffered from a muscle tear. He was, however, replaced by Richmond Ayi.
Atta was immediately taken to the Presbyterian hospital in Dormaa for diagnoses, and Hearts of Oak have confirmed that he has been discharged from the hospital with his situation confirmed less harmful as earlier feared.
“Goalkeeper Richard Attah has been treated and discharged from the Presbyterian hospital-Dormaa. X-rays conducted on him proved that there are no torn ligaments in the thigh as earlier feared,” the club posted on Twitter.

Attah, is expected to named in Ghana coach Otto Addo’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers play-off against the Super Eagles of Nigeria later this month.
