The winner of both legs will book a place for the biggest soccer mundial to be staged in Qatar later this year.
“We need to understand that we can’t compare generation to generations, there are differences, some have different personalities while others are far ahead in terms of talent,” Osei Kuffour said on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM
“We say the likes of Osei Kofi and co won the African Cup of Nations but let’s not also forget that some of these guys have won the U-20 World Cup, others have won Olympics medals so every generation has played a major role and have all done well.
“Whether we like it or not this is what we have currently so let’s support them in prayers and in spirit which is the most important thing.
“Let’s put the AFCON debacle behind. Our key player in the team at the moment which is Thomas Partey in my view is in top shape, Amartey is playing well, Djiku so it’s about the individual plus the team work.” said the former Bayern Munich defender.
The Black Stars team arrived in Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon and trained at the Baba Yara Stadium in the evening.
