Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil was on the score sheet for KRC Genk as they drew one apiece against Olympiacos in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers on Thursday night.
The Belgian side were handed a painful elimination from the qualification at home after the 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture with the Greek Super League club.
Olympiacos, have, thus sealed passage to the next phase of the European competition on a 2-1 aggregate. Gent recorded a 1-0 win in the first leg.
Paintsil put KRC Genk ahead from the spot in the 30th minute mark of the game after missing an earlier penalty awarded to his team.
The Ghanaian international, was however, shown a straight red card as a result of an unsporting behavior in the game after lasting 65 minutes on the pitch.
Sotiris Alexandropoulos scored a late goal in the 96th-minute mark to shock the home fans who thronged the Cegeka Arena.
