Ghanaian winger Yaw Yeboah has officially completed a transfer move to Chinese Super League club Qingdao Hainiu F.C, marking the fresh chapter in his professional career.
The 28-year-old makes the switch after parting ways with MLS side Los Angeles FC, bringing an end to his three-year stay in the United States. During his time in the MLS, he enjoyed major success — winning both the MLS Cup and Leagues Cup with Columbus Crew in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
The 27-year-old is expected to link up with Qingdao Hainiu’s squad immediately as they continue preparations ahead of the new campaign. His competitive debut for the club is scheduled for March 7, when they face Yunnan Yukun in their season opener.
Yaw Yeboah began his career at Manchester City and has previously featured for clubs such as Lille, FC Twente, Real Oviedo, Wisła Kraków, among others across Europe.
The former Black Satellites playmaker now embarks on his first adventure in Asia as he looks forward to the start of the 2026 Chinese Super League season, which kicks off next weekend.
At international level, he featured for the Black Satellites at the Africa Youth Championship and FIFA U-20 World Cup all in 2015. He captained the Black Meteors at the 2019 CAF U-23 Championship and subsequently made his way into the Black Stars at certain point.
